Brainy
Gwinnett Building Babies’ Brains Ambassador
Hi there, friends! I’m Brainy, and you’ve probably seen me around Gwinnett! But no matter where we have met, I always have one specific mission: Ensuring all of Gwinnett’s children are ready to thrive in kindergarten and beyond!
Did you know that a child’s brain grows faster in the first five years of life than at any other time in their life? It’s true!
By the time your child turns five, their brain is around 90% developed.
That’s why these early years are so important for learning, exploring, and of course, building those babies’ brains!
Think of a baby’s brain like a sponge…soaking up every word, every story, every song, and every experience. And that’s where YOU come in!
One of my favorite things to do is attend local Gwinnett events! These are great opportunities to play, learn, explore, and keep building my brain! I love meeting families, handing out books, and participating in brain-building activities with Gwinnett’s youngest learners. Whether it’s an early learning field trip, a sporting event, or a story time in the park, I’m always there with a big smile and a brain full of ideas!
Recently, I’ve had the joy of spreading early learning cheer all across our community—from cheering courtside at the Atlanta Vibe volleyball game to celebrating Education Day with the Gwinnett Stripers! And let’s not forget the fun at Grayson Day, where we were all highlighting the power of early literacy.
Engaging in these events reminds me how learning happens everywhere…
…and when we come together as a community to support our youngest learners, we’re building strong brains and even stronger futures!
